These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and eSoko governing your access to and use of the eSoko platform, websites, applications and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account, listing a property or otherwise using the Services, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the Services.
In these Terms, “we”, “us”, “our” and “eSoko” refer to [REGISTERED ENTITY NAME], a company incorporated in the United Republic of Tanzania (company registration number [COMPANY REGISTRATION NUMBER]) trading as “eSoko”; “you” and “user” refer to any person who accesses the Services; “agent” means a property professional or owner who publishes a listing; and “content” means any text, images, data or other material made available through the Services.
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and capable of forming a legally binding contract to use the Services. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when registering and to keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

We review listings before they are published and may, at our discretion, decline, edit, suspend or remove any listing that is incomplete, inaccurate, misleading or in breach of these Terms. The “Verified” badge reflects a quality and identity check performed by eSoko and does not constitute a warranty as to the condition, value or legal status of any property.
Listing, feature and service fees are displayed before you incur them and are processed through our payment partner. All fees are stated in Tanzanian Shillings (TSh); any foreign-currency figures shown are indicative only and for convenience. Except where required by applicable law, fees are non-refundable once the relevant listing has been published or service rendered.
eSoko is an online marketplace and technology service provider. It is not a real estate broker, agent, valuer or party to any sale, lease or tenancy, and it does not act on behalf of any user in negotiating or concluding a transaction. Any agreement arising from use of the Services is concluded strictly between the buyer, renter, owner and/or agent concerned.
The Services, including their design, software, trademarks and the eSoko name and logo, are owned by or licensed to eSoko and are protected by law. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for their intended purpose. You retain ownership of content you submit and grant us a licence to host, display and distribute it for the purpose of operating and promoting the Services.
The Services and all content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by Tanzanian law, eSoko excludes all warranties, express or implied, and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from information supplied by third parties, your dealings with any agent or owner, or your reliance on any listing.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or applicable law. You may close your account at any time.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. The courts of Tanzania shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, without prejudice to any mandatory dispute-resolution procedure provided by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
